How to store: vanilla bean, vanilla extract, vanilla bean paste?

There you have it, beautiful aromatic vanilla in your hands. The question now is how to properly store it to preserve the wonderful scent as best as you can. And it's very simple! 

Vanilla Beans: 

Store delicate vanilla beans in a mason jar or a glass vial, or if you have a vacuum sealer, use it! The temperature should be cool and dry. Never refrigerate as the fridge is too cold and humid. 

Vanilla Extracts: 

Our homemade vanilla extracts are made by infusion - so it has no expiry date literally! Store it at room temp (25c). Or in a hot tropical country (ahem Thailand!), refrigerate it is a very cool idea too.

Vanilla Bean Paste: 

Our vanilla bean paste has years of shelf life (expiry date on label) and can be stored directly in refrigerator.
